On First Base Coaching (Mentoring Service)
Guiding you through critical choices with clarity, confidence, and strategic support—just like a first base coach helping you make the right move at the right time. These are lighter lift engagements—less urgent, more exploratory, with a focus on supported decision-making. They may involve a single session or a few check-ins, with an emphasis on coaching and brainstorming rather than operational leadership or legal triage. This is true supported decision making with you in charge.
Empty Bench (Loneliness Services)
The weight of decisions can feel isolating. People with great responsibility often find themselves with no one to turn to—confiding in board members may raise concerns, and speaking to subordinates can seem inappropriate. Our Empty Bench service provides a confidential, attorney-client privileged space to discuss the complex, high-stakes challenges they prefer to not share elsewhere. These engagements focus on strategic dialogue, offering the trust and confidentiality needed to address challanges. Can occur one time or periodically.
Swing for Impact: (Keynote and Panel)
Looking to inspire, inform, and ignite action? Offering up a powerful keynotes and engaging presentations tailored to audiences of all sizes. With decades of experience in advocacy, child welfare, developmental disabilities, and systems reform, you get firsthand insight, leadership lessons, and policy expertise to your event. Speaking fees are offered on a sliding scale based on event type and organization size. Standard travel costs.
Sometimes a program hits a rough inning—culture change needed, relationship with those the program serves, operational challenges, or questions about compliance with laws and rules. Right Field Strategies can step in as a short-term “relief pitcher” to stabilize the situation, reset expectations, and help the organization move forward. These engagements are time-limited (typically less than six months) and may include working with the board or agency to identify and transition to long-term leadership or to support existing leadership. Relief Pitcher Leadership often pairs naturally with Empty Bench (Loneliness Services), providing mentoring and support for the leader who ultimately takes the mound full-time.
